The Bayshore Gateway Triangle CRA is proud to announce the October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011 lineup of grants available for businesses and residents in the Redevelopment Area.
CRA Improvement Grants
The most popular incentive for redevelopment in the CRA is with the use of CRA-backed grants for various improvements to homes and businesses. Since 2002, the CRA has leveraged over $1 million in private funds to improve the area, bit by bit. Common projects funded by CRA grants include hurricane hardening to windows and doors, decorative landscaping, seawall repair, culvert improvements, painting, commercial signage, and much, much more!
The CRA has a grant to meet almost anyone’s needs for site improvement:
The following CRA TIF Grants are renewed for Fiscal Year 2011:
1. The Site Improvement Grant (SIG) is tailored for residents primarily, with a maximum award of $8,000 and requiring grantees to contribute 2/3 of project costs. These grants cover only exterior improvements for private residences and non-profit entities.bayshore/UserFiles/SIG 2011 Application.pdf
2. The Sweat Equity Grant (SEG) pays up to $1,000 for exterior improvements on residential properties. These grants require a minimum expenditure of $500, but do not require grantees to match the award.bayshore/UserFiles/SEG 2011 Application.pdf
3. The Shoreline Stabilization Grant (SSG) will pay up to $5,000 for installation or repair to seawalls or rip-rap and grantees are required to contribute 50 percent of project costs.bayshore/UserFiles/SSG 2011 Application.pdf
